LaGasse Medal Awarded Jack Dangermond of ESRI REDLANDS, Calif. - The ASLA presented a LaGasse medal to Jack Dangermond, president of ESRI on October 30, 2000. The medal is awarded to individuals who, through their professional practice or utilization of landscape architecture, have made notable contributions to the management of natural resources, in the public interest. Dr. Julius Fabos, an ASLA fellow and professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, was the nominator. Dangermond, who holds a master's degree in landscape architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design, accepted the award at the society's annual meeting in St. Louis, Missouri.
