LAAB Grants Accreditation To 10 University Programs

At its summer meeting, the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB) renewed or granted initial accreditation for ten university landscape architecture programs, with the majority located in Arizona. Arizona State University's BSLA and MLA programs were both renewed, as well as University of Arizona's MLA program. The latter institution's BLA program was granted initial accreditation alongside Pratt Institute's MLA program. Other renewals were for West Virginia University's BLSA program as well as the BLA and MLA programs at Iowa State University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. All ten of these programs underwent a self-evaluation and on-site evaluation process and will next be reviewed for renewal in Spring 2032. To date, 77 institutions across the United States and Lebanon offer accredited landscape architecture programs, according to the ASLA's database. Pennsylvania and California hold the most, with 5 institutions each and 13 undergraduate and graduate programs between them.
