L.A. Receives Housing Redevelopment Award

Stephen Tise and his wife, Landscape Architect Kathy Schreiber of Tise Design Associates of Newton, Mass., have received the 2005 Enduring Design Award from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).

The award was presented on behalf of the city of Boston for Commonwealth Development, an affordable housing project located in Brighton. Commonwealth Development has become a national model for large scale, inner city public housing redevelopment.

Tise Design Associates is an architectural firm specializing in residential projects in the U.S. and Caribbean.

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is a professional membership organization comprising 21,227 housing and community development agencies and officials throughout the United States who administer a variety of affordable housing and community development programs.
