VERNON HILLS, Ill. - Komatsu has expanded its line of products with an addition to their compact excavator line. The diminutive PC03 made its debut at the World of Concrete Show in March and has grown in popularity in a number of various tight space applications.
The PC03 comes equipped with an 8.1 hp Komatsu 2D68E diesel engine, standard 6.0 gpm auxiliary hydraulic piping, a back fill dozer blade and weighs in at a mere 1,984 pounds. A 3.4-gallon fuel tank powers this unit for up to 7.5 hours without refueling.
Pricing begins at $18,500, plus various equipment feature options. The machine offers an expandable track to make the standard track width adjust from 28 inches to 36 inches. Dig depth is 4 feet, 11 inches, and it uses a 14-inch bucket. Built-in auxiliary hydraulics make it possible to replace handheld jackhammers and reduce personal injury, according to the manufacturer.
