The deck plaza construction will cost approximately $53 million. Some $77 million has been raised to date. The city of Dallas set aside $20 million in bond funds, and the Texas DOT provided another $20 million. The park was also chosen to receive $16.7 million in federal stimulus funds. A donation from the John Muse family will fund the planned performance pavilion, and money from Container Store founder Garrett Boone will pay for the dog park. The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation seeks to raise an additional $30 million to fund park amenities, operations and programming.
