While it's not quite "hanging ten," John Deere Landscapes has established its first toehold in the Aloha state. The landscape equipment distribution company has completed a deal to acquire Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply and its three landscape distribution centers in the state of Hawaii, according to a July 29 release. Since 1967, Diamond Head has sold irrigation supplies, landscape products, drainage materials and water features at stores in Honolulu, Pearl City and Kailua Kona. "The acquisition of Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply is John Deere Landscapes' first acquisition in Hawaii. For almost 50 years, Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply has been providing its customers with high quality products and services. It's a tradition that will continue," said JDL CEO Doug Black. "We welcome our new employees and look forward to expanding our services to the region." John Deere Landscapes has more than 400 locations across North America, and is a distributor of wholesale irrigation, landscape lighting, nursery, turf and maintenance supplies for green industry contractors. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
