John Deere Credit Celebrates Opening of new Worldwide Headquarters JOHNSTON, Iowa - John Deere Credit recently opened its 240,000 square-foot worldwide headquarters office building. "Our core values and business practices drove the architectural design of the building," said Jon Volkert, President of John Deere Credit. "The design principles grew out of our desire to have an open, collaborative environment." An open-office environment throughout the building incorporates daylighting technology that is energy efficient and employee friendly. Sound masking provides a quiet work atmosphere. Sunscreens and light shelves block direct sun and naturally illuminate the open office workspace. Designed by OPN Architects, Inc., of Cedar Rapids, and constructed by Ryan Companies US, Inc., of Cedar Rapids, the building is situated into the natural landscape with a pre-cast spine wall that creates a portal, framing a view from the main entrance to an adjacent farmstead.
