RHI worked with EYP to provide landscape architecture design for a new academic and research facility which will replace the former Rockingham Memorial Hospital. The facility was designed to meet LEED silver certification. The overall landscape design reinforces a cohesive pattern of pedestrian circulation while simultaneously creating a series of outdoor spaces important to student life. The design of the 'main room' incorporates a series of cast stone retaining seat walls planted with a variation of plant media for separation vertically and horizontally.

 

The upcoming School & Campus Design Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
