BOISE, ID - Jacklin Seed, a division of Simplot, has opened a new 53,000 square-foot processing, warehouse and distribution facility in Albany, Oregon. The new operation, which includes state-of-the-art blenders and baggers, is more than four times larger than Jacklin's previous Albany location.
"Simplot now has the ability to store, blend and ship products from Oregon directly to customers in a very timely and efficient manner," said Operations Manager Rich Underwood. "The new facility will allow better control over a more diverse inventory of turfgrass varieties."
Jacklin Seed is a breeder, producer and marketer of professional turfgrass and forage seed. The company also operates a commercial research and development program.
