Irrigation Foundation Now Accepting Applications for 2017 Scholarship Program

The Irrigation Foundation's main mission is to promote careers in irrigation. The foundation aims its resources at career seekers, educators and the industry, developing and enhancing irrigation career awareness programs.

All U.S citizens currently enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) at a U.S. technical or vocational school, community college, university or similar institution of higher learning are now eligible to apply for the Irrigation Foundation Scholarship Program.

By providing financial support toward the education of worthy scholarship candidates, the program will promote the study of careers in the irrigation field, benefit the community through a better educated workforce, reveal the ever-expanding irrigation industry to scholarship candidates and strengthen the Foundation through a direct link to education.

Scholarships will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 – $2,500 based on candidates' letters of intent, financial need, reference letters, resumes and transcripts.

In order to meet the eligibility requirements, applicants must have taken or currently be enrolled in a class with an irrigation-related curriculum. Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average, based on a 4.0 scale, and must demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship applications are due by Feb. 15, 2017. Notification to award winners will be sent out by April 1, 2017.
