IA plans 2021 Irrigation Show & Education Week
The Irrigation Association is planning its 2021 Irrigation Show and Education Week for Dec. 6th through 10th in San Diego. This action-packed week gathers professionals in agriculture, turf and landscape, and golf irrigation to network, learn and advance the industry. The exhibit hall provides a firsthand look at new technologies and products hitting the irrigation and specialty markets. Attendees can browse hundreds of exhibit booths, the new product contest, and the new Innovation Row and Innovation Hub for unique solutions to elevate their business. The 6th Decennial National Irrigation Symposium and Industry Insights presentations will offer exclusive educational content discussing today's relevant topics, issues and research in the industry.

 

IA announces award winners
In July, the Irrigation Association announced the recipients of its annual awards. These awards honor those who have made significant contributions to the irrigation industry, and each recipient recognized this year is a true changemaker who has made unique and meaningful accomplishments toward furthering the industry and promoting efficient irrigation.

Smart Irrigation Month
The Irrigation Association celebrated Smart Irrigation Month throughout July. Smart Irrigation Month serves as the showcase month for the irrigation industry and the public to recognize and promote the benefits associated with smart and efficient irrigation. This year's theme for the month was: Smart irrigation. Sustainable solutions. The celebration kicked off on July 6 with Technology Tuesday. IA staff and those in the industry were encouraged to wear blue on July 6 in support of Smart Irrigation Month.

IA conducts virtual conferences
Throughout 2021, the IA planned and conducted virtual conferences focused on three key areas: landscape lighting, leadership and landscape technology. These conferences covered today's most exciting and sought-after topics in the industry and included presentations and panel discussions by industry experts who shared their knowledge and experience. With the success of the first landscape lighting conference in January 2021, the IA planned another landscape lighting conference with the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals in August.
