The 2004 International Lawn, Garden and Power Equipment Expo, with several new events on the lineup, is set for Friday through Sunday, September 24-26, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Lawn and landscape can attend these free landscape seminars designed to address profit-building:
New this year are ?EUR??,,????'??Hobby How-To?EUR??,,????'?? sessions, which are ?EUR??,,????'??just-for-the-fun-of-it?EUR??,,????'?? events for visitors to enjoy when they?EUR??,,????'???re ready for a break from the show floor. Advance registration for these free events isn?EUR??,,????'???t required. Just check the schedule on site for room locations.
On Friday, the Walker Mowers Obstacle Course will return with opportunities for visitors to demonstrate their skills to maneuver a Walker mower in a friendly competition and win prizes. On Saturday morning, operators with the top 50 to 75 qualifying times will try a more challenging course. The top 10 to 15 contestants will advance to the finals on Saturday afternoon, with the winner taking the title of National Champion Walker Operator. Walker will provide awards to the top three operators. The National Champion will enjoy a five-day vacation for two to colorful Colorado where they will tour the factory, among other activities events.
Also returning is the Trucks of the Industry Giveaway, sponsored by Power Equipment and Trade and Turf magazines. One lucky EXPO visitor will win $20,000 toward the purchase of a new truck from one of these exhibitors: General Motors Isuzu Commercial Truck, LLC; Dodge; GM Fleet and Commercial; Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America and Ford Commercial Truck. The drawing will be held at noon on Sunday, September 26.
By popular demand, two Q-&-A sessions will return to the show floor. In the Snow and Ice Pavilion, landscape pros can learn the latest techniques for snow and ice management. The free ice breaker sessions, sponsored by the Snow & Ice Management Association and Snow Business magazine, will run all day Saturday, on the hour for 45 minutes each. Plus, the Ask the Pro sessions, sponsored by PRO magazine, will give lawn and landscape pros opportunities to ask their toughest questions of successful pros in an informal, round-table setting on the show floor.
