Originally from Auburndale, FL, Taylor began his career in the Kansas City Royals organization, working his way up to supervisor for the entire complex at Baseball City, FL. He joined the Greenville Braves in 1991 and made the move from Greenville to Pearl in 2005. photo: www.mississippibraves.com

The Southern League, a Double-A baseball league with teams in Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida named Matt Taylor of The Mississippi Braves as the Groundskeeper of the Year. It’s the fifth time Taylor has received this award.
