The Southern League, a Double-A baseball league with teams in Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida named Matt Taylor of The Mississippi Braves as the Groundskeeper of the Year. It’s the fifth time Taylor has received this award.

One of the premier groundskeepers in all of professional baseball, Taylor oversaw the building of Trustmark Park from start to finish and was promoted to Field and Facility Operations Manager in February 2005. He last won this prestigious honor in 2002.
