IES to Host 29th Annual Street and Area Lighting Conference

The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) will hold its 29th Annual Street and Area Lighting Conference Sept. 26-29 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Hotel in Huntington Beach, Calif.

The conference is a forum for a wide range of outdoor lighting information and issues.

The conference will offer educational seminars that promote excellence in street and area lighting. The preliminary program, held Sunday Sept. 26, the day prior to the conference sessions, is devoted to basic, intermediate, computer-aided and LED outdoor lighting courses.

The three-day conference runs Monday through Wednesday. The general sessions will be led by prominent industry professionals covering emerging technologies, industry trends, legislation, legal issues, maintenance, monitoring and management systems, lighting and health, and successful and operational case studies from some of the largest utilities in the country.

Rounding out the presentations are discussion groups, exhibits, luncheons and evening events.
