The International Association for Continuing Education and Training is calling for individuals to submit proposals for webinars to be delivered in 2019. Submitting a proposal earlier, rather than later, will allow the applicant to reserve the best time slot. A news post by the IACET, published on October 14, relates that the webinar needs to be "relevant to IACET's audience" and approximately 45 minutes in length. Furthermore, vendors are also permitted to submit a proposal, so long as their webinar is not "overtly sales related." However, the news post states that this "does not mean that the vendor's product cannot be at the center of the topic."Some suggested topics for webinar proposals include: adult learning techniques, distance learning, instructional design, learner support services, learning technologies, learning theory, evaluation, educational research and competency based education. The first webinar date and time is on January 10, 2019, at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. At the time of writing, this date is available for reservation and there are 12 of the 44 dates reserved so far. Those wishing to submit a proposal can visit this website https://tinyurl.com/y87czm4k. If you have questions, send them to marketing@iacet.org or call (703) 763-0705.
