The IA, an organization for irrigation companies and professionals, will host a Smart Irrigation Month Webinar, which will provide tips on earning state proclamations.

The Irrigation Association will host a free Smart Irrigation Month webinar on Wednesday, Jan. 15th at 3:00 pm EST, which will provide attendees with tips on how to get states to proclaim July as Smart Irrigation Month.

In 2013, irrigation firms played a critical role in working at the grassroots level to gain support from their state and local governments. Due to their efforts, a record number of 10 states and four municipalities issued official proclamations recognizing July 2013 as Smart Irrigation Month. Attaining proclamations for SIM provides the credibility from state governments that is essential for promoting smart water use.

Lowell Kaufhold, chair of the Irrigation Association's Smart Irrigation Month Committee and president of CPS Distributors Inc. will give the presentation.
