IA Offers Classes for Instructors
Free, and Open to High School and Higher Instructors

The Irrigation Foundation will host their annual faculty academy in Colorado, which will include workshops for landscape educators

The Irrigation Foundation will once again hold the landscape and agriculture versions of the Irrigation Faculty Academy.

In 2017, there were 65 attendees and the foundation hopes that number grows each year.

The Landscape Faculty Academy will provide instructors with up to date information to teach to their students. The academy will focus on several aspects for the 2018 sessions, including:

• Careers in Irrigation Consulting & Design
• Greenhouse Irrigation
• Irrigation Best Management Practices Review
• Irrigation Components (June 20)
• PVC, Poly Pipe & HDPE Installation Lab
• Two-wire Systems Teaching Lab
• Two-wire Troubleshooting Lab
• Tour of Dawn Industries
• Tour of the Denver Botanic Garden

The event is free to attend and open to all instructors teaching high schools and higher education institutions. Travel grants will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

It will be held at Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colo. Registration is open until May 3.
