IA Joins Florida Irrigation Standards Discussion

 

Improved standards for landscape irrigation are the goal of the Florida Standards Committee, which was appointed by the Florida legislature. Irrigation Association Ambassador Russ Prophit attended the most recent meeting and convinced several other IA members to attend. It is certain that the IA will continue to have a volunteer presence at these meetings. Design requirements, inspections and plant water needs were just a few items discussed during the day-long session Prophit attended. The committee's recommendations will be used to develop guidelines for local ordinances as they are created or reviewed. Florida?EUR??,,????'???s water management districts are committed to helping this group develop sensible guidelines that will further enhance efforts to protect and sustain water resources.
