Constructed of 100 percent recycled vinyl, Oly-Ola's Super-Edg provides 
nearly invisible landscape border for logo at new Belterra Park 
Gaming & Entertainment Center in Cincinnati.

Oly-Ola Edgings Super-Edg, 100 percent recycled vinyl 6-inch deep low profile landscape edging, was installed by Hyde Park Landscape & Tree Service of Cincinnati to border the Belterra Park Gaming and Entertainment Center race horse design logo. The logo is outlined in edging and filled with different colors and types of annuals.

"Originally the landscape architect specified aluminum edging to line the logo, but the logo has lots of curves so we knew that aluminum would be hard to work with," said Patrick Wheatley, landscape designer with Hyde Park Landscape & Tree. "We went back to the architect and explained that since the angles had to be welded, which posed a safety concern for us, and the edging had to be cut with a quick saw, we didn't feel that aluminum was the best product we could use."

Wheatley said the architect then specified a low profile landscape edging made of recycled PVC. Super-Edg was easy to cut, form, bend, connect, modify and transport.

Super-Edg features a 6 inch deep low profile design that enhances the landscape design by providing a distinct border that doesn't take away from the finished product. The edging is secured with specially developed 14" steel anchoring stakes which slide through pre-cut slots to easily penetrate the ground for permanent installation. Super-Edg has the look of metal but is safer to use and easier to install and transport.

Recently opened, Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment Center, includes six restaurants, a live entertainment venue, 1,500 slot machines and a live racing track that will open next year.
