The updated research paper and estimating tool enables builders, developers, prospective home buyers and home owners to see the impact that various physical features and neighborhood characteristics might have on the price of a home.

NAHB's Eye on Housing took a look at the updates that attracted the most readers over the last year.

In October, Eye on Housing profiled updated NAHB research that estimates the value various features add to a home. What's not mentioned in the study is the role of residential landscapes. The appraisal of a home's value increases significantly if the landscape is professional designed and maintained.
