Company Wins Council Award

NEW YORK, NY

The Council on Economic Priorities (CEP) recently announced that Horizon Organic Holding Corp. will receive its Corporate Conscience Award for Environmental Stewardship at a ceremony in New York City on June 15, 2000. A panel of 19 independent judges selected Horizon Organic, along with five other companies, for their commitment to community relations, employee empowerment, environmental protection, diversity and global ethics.

The Environmental Stewardship Award is presented annually to companies that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability; integration of environmental, health and safety principles into core business strategy; corporate environmental reporting; product stewardship; responsible resource use; and/or accountability for environmental performance.
