ST. LOUIS - The new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Libray and Museum, designed by Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum Inc. is now under construction. The facility will be located in downtown Springfield, Illinois, and replaces the existing library currently housed in the basement of the Old State Capitol building. HOK is responsible for site selection and master planning, facility programming, design and implementation.

The 99,600 square foot library will serve to preserve and protect the collection of books and documents in the legend of Lincoln. The library is scheduled for completion in October, 2002.
