Arthur and Mona Hofmann House, also known as the Hofmann House, was built in 1937 and is a historic home located at 1048 Cuesta Road in Hillsborough.

The building was designed by Modernist architect Richard Neutra in International Style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 5, 1991

The main focus of the project was removing the existing kidney shaped swimming pool and replacing it with a rectangular shaped swimming pool inspired by Richard Neutra.

In addition, new walkways and patios replaced old ones and the infill planting was done throughout the property.

The upcoming Custom Residential Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
