HessAmerica Introduces Marino Tree Grate Series

HessAmerica's Marino is a square two-piece tree grate available in three sizes, manually cast by artisans to standards indicative of European craftsmanship. The series melds high design with functional features to achieve a design-driven solution for architectural tree protection needs.

Now landscape architects have more options when designing campuses. Marino, an architectural cast-iron tree grates in three sizes for exterior and interior applications.

HessAmerica's tree grate is suitable for wide-ranging public and private applications including corporate, school and university campuses; municipalities; shopping and pedestrian malls; hospitality and entertainment venues; upscale retail; other commercial and upscale residential developments.

Anti-slip detailing is cast into the surface, enhancing pedestrian safety in wet conditions. Removable plugs in each tree grate section accommodate watering hoses for easy maintenance, and are secured by stainless steel hardware when not in use. A heavy-duty steel support frame ensures level installation of the tree grate.

The 38" and 58" sizes are ADA compliant. A 78" square model is available for larger-scale applications. Models designed to accommodate in-ground lighting fixtures are also available. Four complementary tree guard models may be specified as an option to provide comprehensive tree protection.

The two-piece tree grates are cast from 100 percent recycled grey iron, and are 100 percent recyclable. After casting, the tree grates are blasted with stainless steel beads. The edges are then deburred and sanded for a uniform surface, free of defects. Each tree grate section includes a removable cast iron plug to accommodate watering hoses. Standard finish is matte black.
