Hardscapes Plant Re-Opens
Under New Ownership

 

A new hardscapes manufacturer in Hanover County, Virginia has acquired a 17,000 square foot production plant in the city of Doswell. NewLine Hardscapes plans to refurbish the plant and produce concrete pavers, block wall systems and landscape edging products.

A new hardscapes manufacturer called NewLine Hardscapes LLC has purchased a foreclosed production plant in Doswell, Virginia, with plans to refurbish the plant and produce concrete pavers, concrete block wall systems and landscape edging products.

The company, a joint venture between Pennsylvania-based concrete products manufacturer York Building Products Co. and several Richmond-based locals, closed a deal in early September to acquire the 17,000-square-foot production plant. Xteriors Hardscapes closed the plant in May.

The plant has started some production with eight employees. The company expects to hire two additional shifts this year, and expects to expand to roughly 25 employees in 2013. Products will be distributed in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and West Virginia.
