Minor League Baseball has announced that Hammons Field has been named the 2008 Double-A Field of the Year, a first for the facility.
The award completes a banner year in 2008, as Hammons Field was also named Texas League Field of the Year and Head Groundskeeper Brock Phipps was named Texas League Turf Manager of the Year.
