Growth in Productivity and Costs

Preliminary productivity data measured output per hour of all persons for the first quarter of 2009. The seasonally adjusted annual rates of productivity growth in the first quarter were: 1.1 percent in the business sector and 0.8 percent in the nonfarm business sector.
