GroundLevel collaborated with SDSU, SVA Architects and SGPA Architecture and Planning on this exciting mixed-use project that includes a plaza and park in the heart of the university's campus. The project lies at the corner of College Avenue and Montezuma Road and is comprised of student housing with ground level retail, supported by an adjacent 6 story parking structure. A vibrant streetscape with restaurants and outdoor seating will energize College Avenue and Lindo Paseo. A multi-functional campus green at the project's north edge is adjacent to the recently completed Aztec Student Union. The campus green and its plaza will serve as the setting for special events including outdoor concerts and will be a place for informal gathering and respite between programmed events.

ecoATM

GroundLevel collaborated with Gensler on this new corporate headquarters for ecoATM in tech-centric Sorrento Valley in San Diego. Bold landscape and paving treatments create a unique street presence for the new tenant, while a dynamic outdoor amenity area gives ecoATM the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful San Diego climate year-round. This amenity area serves as an outdoor living room and space for relaxation with a large, elevated wood dining terrace, soft seating, ping pong tables, horseshoe court, and flexible-use lawn area for company events.

ONE PASEO MIXED-USE
CARMEL VALLEY, SAN DIEGO
For this unique property at Del Mar Heights Road and El Camino Real, the community and the land owner worked together, in conjunction with the City of San Diego, to create a mixed-use heart of the community. GroundLevel has been a partner in design throughout the site planning and design of the all-important streets, plazas, paseos and open spaces. As the project unfolds, there will be 608 residential homes that are incorporated into night time destinations, lifestyle retail and corporate office spaces. One Paseo embraces sustainability and the opportunity to live-work-play in one place. GroundLevel has developed the designs for streetscapes and pedestrian-friendly public realm outdoor spaces - and also for the people spaces that flow though the retail and office plaza components. One Paseo was one of the first five projects in the country to meet prerequisite review under LEED for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) by the U.S. Green Building Council.
