Mergers, Acquisitions, Expansions





The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Kent, Ohio has expanded its presence in Florida with the acquisition of Lawn Logic Landscaping LLC. Terms of the purchase of Lawn Logic, which is based, appropriately enough, in Davie, Fla., were not disclosed. A Davey Tree spokeswoman said Lawn Logic has about 100 employees.





Rosetta Hardscapes has licensed CASToHN of Tacoma, Wash. to produce its complete line of hardscape products. Said Jeremy Manthei, president of Rosetta Hardscapes, "The textures and colors available with Rosetta products are a great fit for the Pacific Northwest."

CASToHN boasts a 25,000 square foot production facility located on 25 acres to accommodate future expansion. Running three separate production lines, the largest is designed for and dedicated to Rosetta Hardscapes production.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, a leading earthmoving and material handling equipment manufacturer, announced its partnership with Werk-Brau, an attachment manufacturer. The partnership will provide a wider array of attachment options to their customers. Werk-Brau offers a complete line of reliable O.E.M. and replacement attachments for construction equipment including heavy duty excavator and mini-excavator buckets, ditch cleaning and draining buckets, hydraulic and mechanical quick couplers and hydraulic and manual thumbs. All the attachments are built with high quality steel for a long operating life.





Honda Power Equipment marked the 30th anniversary of operations at its Swepsonville, N.C. facility. The company invested $8.5 million in plant operations to innovate production processes and add new products. Among other changes, the plant will add a new line for the production of two-stage snow blowers and prepare for the addition of Honda generators.





Altoz, manufacturers of commercial zero-turn mowers, announced an alliance with Hydro-Gear, one of the world's preeminent designers and manufacturers of hydrostatic transmissions, which will drive all Altoz XP and XC model mowers. As Hydro-Gear provides the industry with new hydraulic drive systems that improve operator handling and control, Altoz offers the complement to these transmissions with its lineup of precision zero-turn mowers.





Illumitex, makers of innovative, energy-saving LED solutions for the horticultural, industrial and architectural lighting markets, relocated to new, expanded headquarters, a move that more than doubles the company's space in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2005 by imaging and optics industry veterans and backed by some of the largest investors in venture capital, Illumitex began industry-shifting achievements with a fresh approach to LED design.
