Grossi Named PLANET President

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has announced the selection of Gerald Grossi, Landscape Industry Certified Technician, as president of the association for 2011/2012.

“I look forward to working more closely with PLANET leadership, volunteers, and staff to continue to grow our association and our position within this great industry,” says Grossi.

Grossi currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for both ArborLawn, Inc., and Spartan Irrigation, Inc., located in Lansing, Michigan. He has been actively involved with PLANET (previously PLCAA) since 1985, serving on the board of directors and most recently as the president-elect. Over the last 20 years, Grossi has continually been either a director or president of numerous green-industry associations to include the Michigan Lawn Service Association and Michigan Turfgrass Foundation. He has made major contributions to the Green Industry Expo and now the GIE+EXPO trade show.

“It is my goal to promote our industry as the true ‘green industry,’ and to tell the story that the members of our industry are the real environmental heroes who create and maintain the quality of life in communities across America,” adds Grossi.
