In May, Greenpeace launched a worldwide campaign to expose Coca-Cola's use of polluting hydroflurocarbons asking they move to safer, more environmentally friendly alternatives.

Coca-Cola announced recently that it would phase out the use of HFCs in refrigeration by the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and that it will expand its research into refridgeration alternatives.

Greenpeace hopes that others, like MacDonald's, will follow Coke's lead.
