Green Classes

Landscapers who want to learn about green gardening practices can sign up now for a class that will teach them ways to conserve water, reduce the use of pesticides and create a healthier work environment.

The class for English speakers runs from until November 17. A Spanish-speaking class runs until November.18. All classes are from 4 to 6 p.m.

The classes will be held at the Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult Community Center, 591 W. Fremont Ave., Sunnyvale, California.

The registration fee is $120, but scholarships covering $80 of the cost are available for people who own or work for landscape maintenance businesses.

Landscapers who complete the course will receive a certificate and a Santa Clara Valley Green Gardener Card.
