In response to growing concerns about the growth of local and regional water supply regulations that impact landscape, lawn care and golf turf applications, four leading green industry associations [The Associated Landscape Contractors of America , the American Nursery and Landscape Association , the Irrigation Association , and Turfgrass Producers International] have joined to create the Green Associations Water Conservation Council.
One of the first actions of the Council is the creation of a new Web site, www.WaterActionGuide.org, which contains detailed directives on how Green Industry professionals facing local or regional water-use regulations can establish a strong voice in their community, build a coalition, engage and work with media, and lobby decision makers.
The new Web site should give green industry companies information and direction enabling them to influence decisions or restrictions that will affect water use in their communities ?EUR??,,????'??+ and their businesses.
