Celebrating the successes of local landscape contractors and their use of Grasshopper equipment, The Grasshopper Company – manufacturer of commercial zero-turn mowers, recently inducted Chris Shipp, owner of Shipp Shape Lawn Service in Sylvester, Ga., and Rodney Miles, owner of Miles Mowing & Lawn Care in Portland, Ind., into the company's exclusive "Built To Last" Club.

Both Shipp and Miles were selected for their dedication to the brand by owning a total of 47 company mowers over a combined 37 years of business. Shipp has owned 14 of these mowers over 20 years, and Miles has owned 33 over 17 years of business. Both companies also utilize various implements and attachments, with plans to purchase additional company equipment in 2014. In addition, both men have built strong businesses on the foundation of delivering superior customer service and providing lasting value to their customers.

Rodney Miles joined ranks of the "Built To Last" Club at GIE+EXPO 2013. The award was established to recognize the accomplishments of landscape contractors who have used Grasshopper equipment as the centerpiece of their business growth and/or individuals who have been loyal to the brand.

"As a company, we understand that we would not be here if it were not for the individuals and businesses that purchase and use our equipment," said Trent Guyer, marketing coordinator. "The award recognizes our loyal customers and celebrates their accomplishments in the lawn care industry. We are proud to present this award to Chris and Rodney and welcome them into this exclusive club."

In addition to public recognition from Grasshopper, every "Built To Last" award recipient receives a vacation to the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn.; custom Grasshopper gear with the "Built To Last" logo, the recipient's name and year of recognition embroidered; use of the "Built To Last" logo to promote their businesses and brands; and a full feature user story on the Grasshopper website.
