According to Polly Moter of GIE+Expo, attendance for the combined shows grew over last year in all categories:

6% More Dealers - 6% More Lawncare and Landscape Pros - 5% More Exhibitors
18,000+ Total Participants - 6% Total Increase - $7.1 Million Local Economic Impact
$1,000 First Prize (and an iQ360 14-inch masonry saw plus accessories) claimed by Deco Dogs, from Decorative Paving in Loveland, Ohio, at the maiden bout for the HNA Installer Championship.

Glenn Jacobsen, the president of PLANET, stated that the organization's Green Industry Conference tallied over 1,600 attendees, a "20 percent increase over the recessionary years."




Unwrapping New Products


Numerous companies launched products at the show. Here is a sampling:

Arborjet showed off their new TREE I.V. Pro Kit, designed for high-dosage applications in all tree sizes and types.

Dosko debuted the 13-21T-13H, a 4-inch chipper that fits through narrow doorways or gates and offers a 54-inch high-discharge chute with adjustable angle deflector.

JCB, Inc. conducted the North American launch of the JCB 8026 compact excavator.

Turf Teq displayed their edger attachment for Walker Mowers, which allows a mower to bed up to 250 feet per minute.






Over 2,500 cups of beer and over 1,250 bratwursts were given away at Stihl's Octoberfest-themed event during Dealer Day.
