Rugged, heavy steel box framing on the Timberwolf TW-S3 log splitter allows you to handle and process timber easily and conveniently.

Skid steer loaders are one of the more versatile pieces of equipment you can use on your landscape. No matter what the season or what the needs, you can strap on attachments to maintain the grounds or build something new. Take a look at these attachments that range from log splitters and jib booms, to snow plows and sod cutters.

Rakes

By the time the first skid steer rolled out some 47 years ago York Modern had been turning 3-point hitch tractors into versatile landscaping tools for nearly 36 years. Almost from the beginning skid steer owners began ?EUR??,,????'??adapting?EUR??,,????'?? 3-point hitch rakes to their machines. Since those early days the Model SSF, a landscape rake was specifically designed for use on skid steers. SSF rake section can angled to discharge material right or left. If the operator prefers the rake section can reversed to either push or pull material. Rakes sections are available in six, seven or eight foot widths. Five different working positions, not to mention float can handle almost any landscaping or maintenance job. When equipped with optional caster wheels, grader blade and end boots the Model SSF will make any skid steer a more versatile and valuable tool!

Star Hill Jawz Grabbing Tool can pick up and set rocks; uproot unwanted plants/small trees; pull out fence posts/metal stakes; debris removal; demolition; log/branch suspension for cutting; debris box loading.

Angle Broom

The skid steer angle broom mounts directly to your skid steer using the same universal mounting plate as the SSF. SSAB is hydraulically driven, and requires 10-15 GPM at 1800-2250 PSI. The broom maybe angled to a maximum of 30 degrees left or right. The manual angling feature may be converted to hydraulic operation by replacing the control arm with a standard 10?EUR??,,????'?? stroke cylinder. Optional equipment includes storage stands to protect the broom during maintenance and storage, deflectors to protect the operator from dust and debris and a sprinkler system for added dust control. It?EUR??,,????'???s available in 6, 7 and 8-foot broom widths, using 32-inch diameter convoluted brush sections. Brooms may be equipped with either all polypropylene, crimped wire or a 50/50 combination brush sections.

Pick Up Broom

Model SSPU broom is hydraulically driven and requires a hydraulic system of 10-15 GPM and 1800-2250 PSI. Unless otherwise specified the SSPU is equipped with a universal mounting plate as standard equipment. The bucket is constructed of 3/16?EUR??,,????'?? steel and has half-inch wear bars on the bottom for longer bucket life. The heaped bucket capacity is approximately 16 cubic feet on the 5-foot model and 19 cubic feet on the 6-foot model. The caster wheels make this broom much easier to operate. The SSPU is available in 5?EUR??,,????'??? and 6?EUR??,,????'??? widths, equipped with 24-inch diameter brush sections. Brooms may be equipped with either all polypropylene, crimped wire or a 50/50 combination brush sections. The optional gutter brush allows the operator to get into those hard to reach spots. If dust control is an issue the optional sprinkler system is the answer.

Log Splitter

The TW-S3 was designed and built from the ground up by log splitter manufacturer, Timberwolf Manufacturing Corporation. With 18 to 20 tons of splitting force- and a fast 8 to12 second cycle time, the S3 powers through logs up to 30?EUR??,,????'?? long at about half the length and weight of competitive units.

The S3?EUR??,,????'???s simple and rugged construction offers years of trouble free operation. With its rugged, heavy steel box framing, top-of-the-line hydraulics and Timberwolf?EUR??,,????'???s trademark powder painted finish, this skid steer attachment is easy to use, requires little or no maintenance and increases your productivity in a big way. Stay on the job and in your seat the next time you need to split wood! This attachment will allow you to handle and process timber easily and conveniently.

Combination bucket (often known as the 4 in 1 bucket) can handle several tasks with the bucket open: pick up chunks of concrete; pick up rocks; grab logs and branches; shave dirt mounds. With the bucket closed: move soil, manure, and sand; move rocks.

Combination Bucket

This is a useful attachment because it serves both grabbing and hauling functions. With the bucket in the open position one can grab rocks, chunks of concrete, logs and debris. With the bucket in the closed position the attachment becomes a common bucket useful for dirt/manure work and rock transport. Attach a pair of forks to the bucket and you have a pallet attachment. This attachment does not allow for precise placement of rocks and requires hook and chain for plant and post removal. The actual weight of a combination bucket may be a concern on smaller tractors.

Grapple

With multiple types of grapples available, they all operate in a similar manner. In some, the tines on the bottom are fixed and in others (such as the one shown), both the upper and lower elements of the attachment move in synchrony. This attachment is useful for general grubbing of brush, rocks and small tree removal. It is commonly used for rock transport and for grabbing long objects such as trees and culverts. Drawbacks to this attachment include lack of precision when performing plant/tree removal, the inability to place objects in a precise manner and possible soil disturbance.

For getting up close to dig parallel to walls, all SwingHoe mounting frames are conveniently equipped with two swing-pivot points, one in the center and one on the right-hand side. Heavy-duty construction includes grease fittings on all pivot points and brass bushings on key wear points. Skid-steer loader owners can add versatility with this attachment.

Grabbing Tool

Star Hill Jawz features T-1 steel jaw fingers opening and closing in a common plane. It affords its operator the chance to lift up rocks, trees and a wide range of suitable objects and then place them down with the utmost precision. The tool uproots and removes individual plants and smaller trees (up to 6?EUR??,,????'?? in diameter) with the least amount of disruption to the soil. Posts and stakes lift out of the ground easily with this recently patented grabbing tool. It?EUR??,,????'???s also useful for picking up and suspending branches and logs for cutting into smaller pieces. This tool is not appropriate for large diameter tree work nor should it be confused with the root grapple when clearing large acreages.

Mini-Backhoe

SwingHoe?EUR??,,????<

Simple, efficient construction gives you the best of both worlds, saving time and money. Hydraulics are directly connected to the skid steer controls, for low maintenance and versatility. You?EUR??,,????'???ve got the power to dig deep, reach high and reposition easily, all from the comfortable operator?EUR??,,????'???s position. SwingHoe digs down six feet, making it ideal for most landscaping or light construction. Buckets are available in 12, 15 and 18-inch widths to suit a variety of digging needs.

Backfillers

Created for use with the mini skid or skid loaders, the McCullough cover-up series 1500, 1600, 2000 and 3000 will make your backfilling task easier and faster. These attachments can backfill 60 foot of trenching in 60 seconds without damaging the turf. The units are designed to float over the terrain to minimize gouging and dumping. The 1500 and 1600 can work with nearly all of the mini skids that are the market today by adapting the mounting plate to the parallel bars. One of features of the unit is its ability to move vertically 7 inches to compensate for uneven terrain. The series 2000 and 3000 are made for the bigger backfilling jobs and are used with the skid steer loaders.

Hydraulic Breaker

True Hydraulic Hammer Operating Cycle ?EUR??,,????'??? These breakers don?EUR??,,????'???t use a high-pressure (350-700 psi) accumulator for power; instead they use a gas-assist cycle and utilize the hydraulic system for most of the firing power. Low Recoil ?EUR??,,????'??? The nitrogen chamber provides significant reduction in breaker recoil. The low-pressure nitrogen charge cushions piston recoil to protect the skid steer and operator from the recoil caused during the rebound or cocking stroke. No Hydraulic Surge ?EUR??,,????'??? The efficient, fully hydraulic design protects the skid steer hydraulic circuit so that no surge-damping accumulators are required.

Chain Drive Auger

Lighter use situations call for the rugged, reliable construction of the chain drive auger. Fixed chain centers eliminate adjustments, while the floating drive sprocket ensures constant chain alignment. The hardened drive sprocket resists wear and helps to assure a long, trouble-free life.
