Toccoa Falls College in Georgia recently became to latest southeastern college to agree to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits. In an effort to be proactive in pollution control regulation, colleges and universities from neighboring states came together to be a part of the Georgia Environmental Protection Agency ceremony in June.

In early 2007 many Southeastern Colleges and Universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, launched a College and University Compliance Incentive Initiative to encourage Colleges and Universities to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits.

Through the signed agreement, 101 private Colleges and Universities and counting will cooperate with these audits in the coming years.
