Terex Aerial Work Platforms announced that the new Genie Oklahoma City Training Center is open and operational. The new 18,000 sq. ft. facility is centrally located for ease of travel from either U.S. coast. Genie will also continue to offer training at its Redmond, Wash. campus. "It comes down to this: properly trained technicians means greater uptime for your equipment resulting in greater return on investment capital," said Bob Bartley, director of product support, Terex AWP. "Training your team is an investment which repays in the long run, especially in the rental industry." The Oklahoma City facility's amphitheater-style training room provides comfortable seating for up to 12 students. The classes are small, allowing for personable, quality, hands-on training where the trainer is able to focus his attention on the student. A variety of large Genie® units are on site and available for classroom and hands-on technical experience. Technicians will be able to proficiently demonstrate the ability to calibrate, adjust and troubleshoot Genie® scissors, telehandlers and boom lifts with the aid of available tools such as schematics, service manuals, connection software and tech tips. Two three-day classes are available each month. Classes are $500 per person, with lunch included. Sign up via the Oklahoma City training schedule located at the Genie website www.genielift.com/training/Class_signup_okc.asp. More information can be found at www.terex.com.
