FWA's first 25 years in business focused on surveying, civil engineering, and land planning services. In 1980, the company broadened its horizons by starting an architecture studio, which currently centers on the educational, commercial/industrial and institutional markets. During the late 1980's as site development became increasingly complex, they added an environmental science division that included landscape architecture, consultants for wetland issues, critical area assessment, environmental site assessments and hazardous waste management. The landscape architectural division assists in aesthetically integrating continuous changes to an environment whose perpetuation and preservation are vital, providing services for residential, commercial, industrial, park and recreational projects, streetscapes and revitalization efforts.
