Frank Lloyd Wright designed Fallingwater in 1935. The home, today owned by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, is situated between the villages of Mill Run and Ohiopyle, Penn.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed a gate for the iconic Fallingwater home, though it was never built. However, in the early 1990s, landscape architect George Longenecke, a Fallingwater consultant, took Wright?EUR??,,????'???s gate design and modified it for use as the ground?EUR??,,????'???s entrance. The gates went up in 1995 at the entrance to the property, but were removed in 2004 when the entrance was redesigned.

The gates measure 18 feet, 3 inches wide, 5 feet, 4 inches high and weigh 1,700 pounds, and are painted Cherokee red (Wright’s signature color). The gates were auctioned at ebay beginning Sept. 21, 2005, with a gallon of matching paint thrown in.

The auction ended Oct. 1 with a winning bid of $10,100. The proceeds from the auction benefit the Fallingwater Landscape Restoration program.

The gates at Fallingwater, inspired by Wright?EUR??,,????'???s design, went up for auction on ebay and sold for $10,100.
