FNGA Awards Banquet Best of the Best recognized Orlando, FL The Florida Nursery Growers Association presented 19 awards of excellence to landscape professionals at their annual awards banquet. Despite a change of date due to Hurricane Floyd, nearly 120 attendees were on hand for the presentation. Three special awards were presented to recognize the best of the best. Roy Rood Award is FNGA's recognition for the best overall project in the entire awards program. The 1999 recipient was Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure in Universal Studios Escape located in Orlando, Florida. Honored with the award are the Landscape Contractor, D & D Tree of Lake Buena Vista, Florida and Landscape Architect, EDAW, Inc., based in Irvine, California. The 1999 Floriculture Award went to "Flower Power" Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World, Florida. The Landscape Contractor honored with this award was D & D Tree of Sebring, Florida. Finally, Tropical Foliage, Inc., of Homestead, Florida, was honored as the Grower of the Year.
