As spring nears, many Florida residents are finally getting the chance to replace their destroyed landscaping from last year's devastating hurricanes. A report in Florida Today says that this is resulting in great profits for area nurseries. Many say that business is significantly improved due to an overwhelming number of customers looking to replace trees and plants that have been damaged. These customers are looking for larger plantings to replace older ones that were lost in the storms. They are also concerned with picking species in hardy varieties to prevent damage in future hurricanes. ?EUR??,,????'??Nobody wants to go through the replanting again this coming year,?EUR??,,????'?? says Dave Grover, owner of Sun Harbor Nursery. In addition, the American Nursery & Landscape Association reports continued industry growth nationwide. Grower cash receipts from nursery and greenhouse sales are growing at an average of $500 million a year.
