Florida Investigates LA Businesses

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is aggressively working to seek out and stop the practice of unlicensed landscape architecture in Florida. The department has hired new special investigators to combat unlicensed activities, a top priority of the Board of Landscape Architecture. In addition, the department has been conducting undercover audits of landscape architecture businesses listed in the yellow pages. These audits verified that the listed businesses were indeed licensed. Also included in the audit were businesses advertising landscape services to verify that they were not performing services requiring a licenses. These investigators are in addition to the regular investigative staff tasked with ensuring that landscape architects follow the provisions Chapter #481, Part II, Florida Statutes.
