Searl Parkway, Diamond Valley Lake, Calif.
Searl Parkway is a major roadway to Diamond Valley Lake and Diamond Valley Lake Park, which consists of over 538 acres. The importance of Searl Parkway is based on its highly visible aesthetic element. The design interfaces with a major wildlife corridor, equestrian trailhead, major stormwater detention basin, museum and sports park. The design incorporates the extensive use of boulders and cobbles, decomposed granite, native trees, shrubs and groundcovers.

Miles Avenue, Indio, Calif.
Miles Avenue in downtown Indio was reconfigured from a one-way street back into a two-way street. This involved converting vehicle alleyways to pedestrian linkages for nearby parking lots, providing traffic reduction and maximizing the ADA compliant sidewalks. Streetscape amenities include long wooden benches, ornamental lighting, drinking fountains, decorative trash receptacles, enhanced sidewalk/intersection crosswalks, stylish seat walls, date palms, shade trees and low-water use shrubs and groundcovers.
