Integration Design Studio (IDS) mainly serves clientele throughout the Southwest, but has also done work in Florida, Hawaii and China. IDS approaches design as a collaboration between client, design team and contractor. The firm’s portfolio includes master planned communities; resorts; recreation centers; parks; camps; apartment communities; senior care; model homes; retail; commercial office; single-family residences; sacred spaces and water-wise renovation projects.

The Strand at the Headlands, Dana Point, Calif.
The Strand at the Headlands is a 121-acre site with over one mile of ocean frontage at Strand Beach. It encompasses 118 custom residential lots, two gated entries, five public parks and over 68 acres of open space. IDS worked to take the conceptual master plan and turn it into an exclusive beachfront neighborhood with lush plantings that created separation from the adjacent properties without sacrificing ocean views. The main park, Strand Vista Park, offers amazing views, restroom facilities, picnic facilities and parking. Beach access includes a funicular to take visitors down the bluff to the beach. The main walk overlooking the Pacific is infused with multiple colors of glass to evoke the tidal surge of the beach below.

Beach Village at Hotel del Coronado, Coronado, Calif.
An expansion of the historic Hotel del Coronado beach resort included 74 high-end vacation units, a resort pool, spa and bar facility, two plunge pools and two separate spas. The plant palette was inspired from the Victorian era when the hotel first opened in 1888. Also included in the redesign was the Orange Avenue entry garden, which debuts the entrance of the hotel to guests and pedestrians. The garden includes a popular water feature that quickly became a popular photo destination for tourists. The garden also reintroduced an orange grove that gave the historic avenue its name.
