Steven Hutter, ASLA formed Hutter Designs in 1995. The firm’s work encompasses all levels of commercial and residential landscape design including: urban and streetscape, water feature and swimming pools, low-voltage landscape and signage lighting, water conservation practices, biological and slope restoration, as well as fire management plans, construction observation and management. Arbor Terrace, San Diego
Arbor Terrace is a 71-unit multifamily affordable housing project designed to meet the requirements for the city and the San Diego Housing Commission. This project was created to offer much-needed affordable housing for the community of North Park. The landscape was designed in tandem with the neighborhood’s craftsman style bungalows using wood and stucco siding, low-sloped roofs and stone massing. The goal was to create a multifamily development with a sense of community and harmonize with the adjacent single-family homes.
