Firm Awarded Four Major Contracts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - According to Ervin, Lovett & Miller, a Jacksonville-based architectural, planning and landscape architectural firm that opened its doors in August, the firm has been awarded four major contracts to design facilities in the Jacksonville area, St. Augustine and Tampa worth more than $4 million.

Russell Ervin, a partner in the firm, said Hutson Land Company recently awarded a contract to design an elaborate amenities package at Oakleaf Community in Clay County.

Ervin, a planner and architectural designer for more than 20 years in Jacksonville, said the $3.5 million project includes a 7,000-square foot clubhouse and community park with tennis courts, soccer and multi-sport fields, an Olympic-size swimming pool and fully equipped playground for children.

Ervin said the firm was also awarded a contract to design Palencia Courtyard homes for Arthur Rutenberg Homes. Ervin said Palencia is a planned luxury golf course community located 10 miles north of St. Augustine. Sixty-seven

courtyard homes, expected to be priced at more than $550,000, are planned for the community, and site work there is already under way.

Co-founder Steve Lovett said the firm was awarded a third contract to plan and design renovations to the entrance at Magnolia Point, a luxury golf course community in Green Cove Springs.

Lovett, a planner and landscape architect who has designed major projects in Mexico, South America, Arizona, California and Colorado as well as Florida, said the improvements are worth approximately $250,000 and include facilities, landscaping and site signage.

Nohl Crest Homes, a luxury custom homebuilder in Tampa, awarded the architectural firm a contract to design three new model homes at Waterchase in northwest Tampa. Partner Tim Miller, an architect with 20 years of experience, said Waterchase is a unique community with a wide variety of rich architectural styles.

For the past two years the three partners played a major role in the design of Waterchase, where construction began recently.
