Fires broke out in San Diego county on Tuesday morning.

Three wildfires ignited early Tuesday in San Diego area due to continued dangerous conditions. The fires sparked evacuations as Santa Ana winds kicked up and the air remained dry.

The Pala Fire has burned 17-acres just north of the city of Pala Mesa, but fire crews were able to get it under control which led to lifted evacuation orders. The Lilac Fire however caused evacuation orders in Bonsall and has burned 80-acres at the time of publication and stands as the area's largest fire.

This comes as the Palisades and Eaton fires see steady containment progress. The Palisades Fire was at 23,713-acres with 63% containment at the time of publication while the Eaton Fire had burned 14,021 acres and was at 89% containment.
About half of the 97,000 power outages in the state on late Tuesday morning were in neighboring San Diego and Riverside counties.

LASN will continue to monitor this as updates occur.
