Figurski served as the CLARB vice president the past year. He takes over for Gregg Sturtevant of Wallowa, Oregon.

CLARB, of course, is the national body that establishes standards for education, experience and examination required for the professional licensure of landscape architects.

He said he looks forward to the opportunity to improve services to exam candidates, the state and provincial licensing boards and working on issues of mutual concern with the various national groups affiliated with the landscape architecture profession: the American Society of Landscape Architects, Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, National Council of Examiners in Engineering and Surveyors and National Council of Interior Design Qualification.
