Wolfgang W. Oehme graduated from the Bitterfield Horticultural School in Germany in 1950 and the University of Berlin in 1954. His has made a career in park design and park planning and has been very successful. He has been the recipient of several awards in the landscaping industry. Such awards include the National Landscape Award from the AAN, Pennsylvania Avenue in 1988 and the Environmental Landscape Grand Award from the Landscape Contractors Association of Washington in 1984. This lead to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1991.
